UiPath Agents

UiPath's agent-building product for combining AI agents with robots, APIs, business workflows, human steps, and governance in the broader UiPath Platform.

Editorially reviewedVerified 2026-08-112 official or primary sources

What it is

UiPath Agents is the current product surface for building agents within UiPath's agentic automation platform. Official materials position agents alongside RPA robots, API workflows, people, and orchestration rather than as isolated chat experiences.

Test the complete business process and authority model. Inspect tools, credentials, input and output validation, queues, human escalation, audit events, retries, idempotency, model changes, data residency, rollback, and ownership across operations and IT.

Worth evaluating for

  • Enterprises combining agents with established UiPath automation programs
  • Processes that mix model judgment, robots, APIs, and human review
  • Regulated workflows requiring orchestration and audit evidence

What to measure

  • Agent task accuracy, tool selection, escalation, and exception handling
  • Identity, credentials, data paths, audit logs, governance, and deployment controls
  • Retry, duplicate-action, human-review, rollback, and operational ownership

Decision cautions

  • Agentic automation is a platform category; this record targets the current UiPath Agents product.
  • Legacy Agent Builder guidance may not describe the current Studio Web experience.
  • Combining agents and robots can amplify errors unless write actions are tightly governed.

Latest releases

IndexNow root-proof request compatibility

After v4.3.3, the exact root-level {key}.txt proof returned HTTP 200, but a full request carrying keyLocation still returned HTTP 403; a minimal homepage request with the same production key and no keyLocation returned HTTP 202. This release omits that field, while the automatic full run and idempotent rerun remain deployment checks.

IndexNow key-proof compatibility

Changed IndexNow verification to the official root-level {key}.txt convention after the first production notification returned HTTP 403; revalidation remains pending, while the website, sitemaps, and Bing sitemap processing are unaffected.

Bing sitemap discovery and IndexNow change notifications

Prepared canonical sitemap discovery for Bing and added automatic IndexNow change notifications while keeping segmented sitemaps authoritative and making no claim that a notified URL has been crawled or indexed.
