Alternative product fits

01

AI coding assistant

GitHub Copilot

GitHub and existing IDE workflows are part of the intended repository environment.

Verify: Exact editor and repository surface, agent mode, permissions, branch controls, tests, security, and review time.
02

AI coding editor

Cursor

An AI-oriented editor is a relevant product shape for interactive repository work.

Verify: Repository context, model and agent mode, edit scope, command execution, tests, security checks, and rollback.
03

AI coding assistant

Amazon Q Developer

AWS-facing development and supported modernization tasks belong in the evaluation set.

Verify: Exact IDE or command-line surface, AWS identity, repository access, generated changes, tests, and administrator controls.
04

AI coding agent

Replit Agent

A hosted workspace for planning, building, testing, and publishing an application matches the job.

Verify: Architecture, dependencies, secrets, database, runtime, deployment, tests, security, and code portability.

Switching checklist

  1. Select representative repositories, change types, tests, and forbidden files before the pilot.
  2. Pin the editor, model or agent surface, permissions, and tool configuration for each run.
  3. Measure accepted changes, test pass rate, scope violations, security findings, and review time.
  4. Review repository access, telemetry, retention, and organization controls in current official documentation.
  5. Require human approval and a clean rollback for every evaluated change.

IndexNow proof-origin protocol fix

Production Bing validation exposed HTTP 500 at the external root proof because TLS termination was followed by an internal rewrite using the wrong protocol. This release corrects that rewrite boundary, but remains unverified until the external proof returns HTTP 200, the automatic submission runs, a later canary returns HTTP 200, and the idempotent rerun passes.

IndexNow root-proof request compatibility

After v4.3.3, the exact root-level {key}.txt proof returned HTTP 200, but a full request carrying keyLocation still returned HTTP 403; a minimal homepage request with the same production key and no keyLocation returned HTTP 202. This release omits that field, while the automatic full run and idempotent rerun remain deployment checks.

IndexNow key-proof compatibility

Changed IndexNow verification to the official root-level {key}.txt convention after the first production notification returned HTTP 403; revalidation remains pending, while the website, sitemaps, and Bing sitemap processing are unaffected.
